Basic Phlebotomy: 30 hours
Advanced Phlebotomy: 30 hours
Each 5-week 30-hour course meets Monday through Thursday from 4:00 to 5:40 p.m.
"In addition to the skill of drawing blood, students will examine the basic concepts of quality assurance and patient safety, as well as the legal implications of phlebotomy and legal issues related to blood collection."
Externship for Phlebotomy 40 hours the 1-week, 40-hour externship schedule will vary depending upon the externship site. Approved by the State of California Department of Health Services. Successful completion of the 100-hour course allows individuals to sit for the national certification examination.
